Juice Review!

Welcome to the first juice review!

I wanted to apologize for the delay of my first reviews. There's a brutal flu going around St. John's and of course, thanks to my fantastic immune system, I caught it right away.
Now that I'm finally able to breathe (and subsequently taste) it's time to get back to the wonderful world of vaping!

Notes:

I've decided to change my format to include the company's flavor profile at the beginning. I'm doing this because it'll make it easier for the reader to decide if they even want to read the review on a particular juice, and because there was no possible way I could pick up a juice without someone immediately telling me the flavor of it. (Thanks guys... XD )
Also, today's review will only be tested on a dual .8mm x 1mm 5 wrap micro coil, as I'm still working out some stuff in getting the perfect TC build.

Community Choice

Flavor: Anti-lag

Company:  Boosted E-Juice

PG/VG Ratio: 40%/60% (Info from authorized online retailer)

Nic Content: 3mg

Company Profile: Like a fruit salad covered in whipped cream, Anti-lag combines a blend of watermelon, blueberries, and strawberries with a dollop of sweet, creamy goodness for your vaping pleasure.

Recommendation: This weeks Community Choice comes from the always helpful staff over at Avalon Vapor.

Vaped On: Freakshow mini with Dual .8mm x 1mm 5 wrap micro (1/16) coils, .5 ohms @ 50 watts.

Bouquet: Notable sweet scents of Strawberry and Blueberry. Light scent of melon.

Taste/Inhale: Sweet, slightly tart, smooth.

Exhale/Aroma: Honeydew Melon, Watermelon, light blueberry, hints of strawberry and vanilla.

Flavor: Melon medley with light blueberry and strawberry accompanied by a smooth vanilla.

Personal Opinion: A good take on a creamy fruit salad. I would personally describe it as a melon medley with blueberries and cream.
The watermelon flavor is natural, tasting more like a mixture of honeydew and watermelon. I actually enjoy this, with the company obviously trying to stay away from the common watermelon candy flavor.
The blueberry is noticeable, but doesn't completely blend into the "fruit salad", it kind of floats on top.
The cream is present as a light vanilla, with a smooth texture, more plain cream than a sweet whipped.
The strawberry, although noticeable in the scent, for me blends entirely into the fruit flavor. It helps define the entire flavor, but takes a back seat to the melon and blueberry.

I'd recommend Anti-Lag for any fruit or cream lover, with it's unique fruit taste. An all day vape, although I don't consider it a must have for my personal collection.

Designer

Flavor: Phillip Rocke Signature Series - Strawberry Icecream

Company: Gemini

PG/VG: Guessing 60/40 (Not listed by supplier, online says anywhere from 80/20 to 50/50.)

Nic Content: 3mg

Notes: The juice comes in an unusual bottle, measuring in at 32ml. It lacks any kind of dripper, so if you're getting it, pick up a bottle to put it in.

Company Profile: Reminiscent of your favorite childhood treat; The Strawberry ShortCake Ice Cream Bar with a Sweet Cream center.

Vaped On: Freakshow mini with Dual .8mm x 1mm 5 wrap micro (1/16) coils, .5 ohms @ 50 watts

Bouquet: Strawberry. Noticeable scent of Alcohol.

Taste/Inhale: Sweet and Creamy, slight tart tones.

Exhale/Aroma: Strawberry, Vanilla, Shortcake.

Flavor: Creamy Strawberry Shortcake.

Personal Opinion: It hits pretty close to it's goal of a Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Bar. The flavor is complex, with all elements equally represented.
For a high PG mix, it's surprisingly smooth, with a sweet and slightly tart strawberry and cream inhale.
The exhale is where the shortcake flavor shows itself. Still having a strawberry flavor, the exhale breathes vanilla shortcake, closely resembling sugar cookie.
At first, I wasn't sure what to think of the flavor. The complexity makes it hard to discern individual flavors at first, but the flavor smooths out the more you vape it.
I'm mildly concerned with the alcohol scent, although it's not an uncommon additive in E-Juices. The usual high PG concerns exist, being something someone with a PG sensitivity should avoid.
It could make an all day vape for those who enjoy sweets, although I can see it more reserved as a dessert flavor. If desserts are your thing, definitely look into picking it up. I'll definitely have it on my shelf.

Local Juice

This weeks local juice is produced by Andrew Wilkins of Drip Addict. Andrew is a local DIY Juice maker, currently boasting over 120 flavors (that's at least 2). He has an avid following from his consumers and rolls out new flavors on the regular. Although attempting to narrow down his selection for marketed sale, he currently can make anything under the sun, to almost any requested spec. Contact Andrew Wilkins over facebook for more details. (Req. 19+)

Flavor: Rocketman

Company: Drip Addict (Andrew Wilkins)

PG/VG Ratio: 19/81

Nic Content: 3mg

Company Profile: Blueberry Greek Yogurt with a sprinkle of Cheesecake and Graham Crust on top.

Vaped On: Freakshow mini with Dual .8mm x 1mm 5 wrap micro (1/16) coils, .5 ohms @ 60 watts.

Bouquet: Blueberry and Graham Cracker.

Taste/Inhale: Sweet, Creamy, smooth. Light sour tone.

Exhale/Aroma: Graham Cracker, Blueberry, cream, and light vanilla.

Flavor: A light blueberry yogurt, with Graham Cracker Crumble.

Personal Opinion: The flavor is pretty spot on and seems to respond better to higher temps. I'd be hard pressed to describe it as anything less than the given profile.
The blueberry flavor is light, natural and not overbearing. Not quite the sweetness of eating pure blueberries, but more like the blueberry flavor expected from cheesecake, or yogurt.
The yogurt is present through a light vanilla, with a subtle sour tang.
The graham cracker is the primary on the exhale, rounding off the flavor, reminding me of finishing off a bite of cheesecake.
With the graham cracker being so dominate on the exhale it leaves you wanting to vape again, just to re-experience the entirety of the flavor.

This is definitely an acceptable all day vape. The flavor is enjoyable, while not being overbearing. I can easily see Rocketman as a top contender for Andrew's final line of juices.
